Prestige Stairlifts are one of the South East’s leading stairlift suppliers. Our plans to expand necessitates an Apprentice Stair Lift Engineer.
This candidate would be looking to build a rewarding and a successful career in the stairlift field. We will offer full in-house training and LITS NVQ2 for the right candidate.

We are one provider who can do it all, tailoring our Stair lift apprentice training programme to suit the right applicant who will not only feel rewarded financially – but feels a sense of reward as they make a difference to the independence of the elderly.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for attending customer call-outs (for which a generous bonus is given if out of hours) for breakdowns and repairs together with scheduled visits for the installation, service and maintenance of all types of stairlifts.
You will also be responsible for the repair/maintenance of various stairlift products, help with deliveries and provide the highest standard of service to our customers.
Ideal candidates will have some experience in the engineering or electrical area, however consideration will be given to a trainee with good technical/mechanical aptitude.
You will be proactive and have
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Technical competence (or be willing to learn)
- Some computer knowledge would be an advantage
- Experience of working as part of a team
- A flexible and mature attitude to work
The hours of work will be 8am to 5pm 5 days per week and a rota basis along with out of hours call-outs.
A full valid driving licence is essential for this role.
A DBS check (formerly CRB) will be required for which Prestige Stairlifts will meet the cost.
